Entry Requirements

Eligibility and Entry Requirements: To even be considered for a spot in the course you’re interested in, you must first meet certain entry requirements. These requirements could include academic qualifications, standardized test scores, prerequisites, or any other criteria specified by the institution or program.

Competitive Admissions: If there are more eligible applicants than there are available spots in the course, it means there is competition for admission. In this situation, not everyone who meets the entry requirements will be guaranteed a place.

Ranking of Applicants: To determine who gets admitted when there’s competition, a ranking system is employed. This ranking is based on specific selection criteria that have been established for each course offered by the institution (referred to here as “AIE” courses).

Course-Specific Selection Criteria: Each course may have its own unique criteria that are relevant to the subject matter and goals of that particular program. These criteria could include things like academic achievements, relevant experience, letters of recommendation, or even interviews and portfolio assessments, depending on the nature of the course.

Merit-Based Ranking: Once the selection criteria are established, applicants will be evaluated based on these criteria. Those who score the highest or meet the criteria to the greatest extent will be ranked the highest in terms of merit.

Course Grid: The term “course grid” likely refers to a structured and organized system that lists the selection criteria and the corresponding weighting or importance of each criterion in the evaluation process. It provides a transparent way for applicants to understand how they will be assessed.
